Claudius – Head of Training & Consulting
Claudius completed a BEng Manufacturing Engineering and wrote his dissertation on ‘The Application of Statistical Techniques in Process Improvement’ based on the work he carried out for his sponsoring company after being trained in ‘Six Sigma’ techniques in 1992. Following graduation, Claudius worked in Operations Management before taking up an internal consultancy role. He was trained in ‘Lean Manufacturing’ by the Shingijutsu Group (world renowned group of lean manufacturing consultants made up of former members of the ‘Toyota Autonomous Study Group’ – the original developers of the ‘Toyota Production System’).
Claudius has effectively utilised ‘Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)’ since 1996 in achieving significant productivity gains and cost reductions. In wishing to become a ‘TPM Expert’, he wrote a dissertation on TPM whilst studying for a part-time Masters in Business Administration. This involved carrying out extensive research into organisations that had successfully implemented TPM and examining what lessons could be learnt from their experiences.
Claudius also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory Education and Training) is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with over 25 years of training and consultancy experience across both the manufacturing and service sectors.
Kevin – Trainer & Consultant
Kevin holds a BSc Engineering Product Design, MSc Manufacturing, Management & Technology and Level 3 Award in Education and Training which certifies his competence as a trainer. Kevin has been involved with process improvement and change management since 2000 when he was trained and certified as a Black Belt in the automotive sector. He went on to achieve his Master Black Belt certification and become UK Business Improvement Director for a leading financial services organisation where through process improvement training, coaching and project support was able facilitate significant improvements within credit card processing. He has over 15 years of experience of providing process improvement training delivery and project support and has developed the ability to communicate the language of process improvement in simple terms.
Lee – Trainer & Consultant
Lee holds a BSc Management & Logistics (1st Class) and after performing Logistics Management roles in retail, went on to work as an Applications Consultant (Supply Chain) for a leading software vendor where she honed her skills in Business Process Modelling and Improvement. She holds a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (Lifelong Learning) which certifies her competence as a trainer, and a Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement. She has worked for Claudius Consulting for over 17 years and as a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt delivers public, virtual and in-house lean six sigma and Improvement programmes across multiple sectors.
Tim – Trainer & Consultant
Tim holds a BSc Chemistry (1st Class) and has over 20 years of experience in industry where his roles included that of Technical Director at a foil manufacturer where he led process improvement projects that delivered cost savings in excess of £3m per annum. He is a Certified ISO9001:2015 Lead Auditor and holds the Level 3 Award in Education and Training which certifies his competence as a trainer. He also holds the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement. As a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Tim has been delivering training, workshops and consultancy in all areas of process improvement for Claudius Consulting for over 7 years with feedback on his delivery always being excellent. Tim applies a core philosophy of ‘learning-through-doing’ to all the programmes he designs and delivers.
Gavin – Trainer & Consultant
Gavin holds a BEng Mechanical Engineering, an MPhil Masters Degree relating to ‘Maximising Yield through the application of Lean Six Sigma’ and a NVQ Level 4 in Management. He is a seasoned Operations Manager/Director who progressed to Managing Director level within the food industry whilst applying Lean Six Sigma to drive operational improvements. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with over 18 years experience in the application of Lean Six Sigma in both service and manufacturing environments delivering projects, training and consultancy.
